Scrap Happy Meme

Another lovely banner by the one and only Goofy Girl!

Are you a digital scrapper or a paper scrapper with the computer savvy to scan and post your pages? Well this meme is for you! I want to pull our collective talents together to wow and inspire one another. All it requires is a weekly scrapbook page to post, and a blog where other participants can go and view it.
I don't care what size your pages are, what programs you use, or any of those technical things - feel free to post them to share with others if you'd like - but the purpose, the real deal behind this is to inspire one another toward creativity. So if you want to share where you got a certain kit, element, font, etc. feel free to share those things. If you want to explain how you were inspired to create your layout by a piece of architecture, puffy clouds or a grape juice stain on the carpet - share away. If you would like to include a tutorial for a certain technique that you used - teach us! Nothing is required however, except that you post a page to share each week and link back here in the Scrap Happy Mister Linky so that the rest of us can visit you!
I think it is important to state that I do not work for any scrapbooking-related company, have my own company or care about the who, what or where you buy your scrapbooking stuff. If I point to a specific supplier, or product, it will be because I like it - and for absolutely no other reason! There is nothing to sell or buy here - so just imagine us as a bunch of scrapbookin' friends getting together for a crop - and showing off our pages each week.
I started scrapbooking almost 10 years ago now, making my first pages when I was pregnant with my now 9 year old son. I have two huge-mongous albums to attest to my serious paper-scrappin' habit. However, the house we lived in at the time was around 900 square feet - so you can imagine, I didn't have a room or studio to set up, and honestly after I got it all drug out, and got the things out that I wanted to use, there was no creativity left in me! A year and a half ago my mother-in-law and sister-in-law introduced me to digital scrapbooking, and I love it!
Here are some of my pages -
The Joy of Sisters - about my kids
My Thoughts of You - a tribute to my father-in-law
It's Gonna Be a Cary Christmas - spending Christmas with my BIL
These are just the pages that I have posted since I started this blog in January of this year. I have plenty of others that I will share as time goes on. I plan on using weeks where I can't get to making a new page to post one of these old ones. I linked to these just to give you an idea of how a post should look - but this is your deal - create, inspire and dazzle us!
Scrap Happy - week #1 will commence on Monday, April 16th. This will give you plenty of time to make pages from those awesome Easter photos that you're sure to take this weekend, or whatever else creative you might put together! Be ready to come back here that day and post the link to your page in the Scrap Happy Mister Linky.
If you're interested in publicizing this, feel free to grab the banner and link it back to this post or email me at julientexas at sbcglobal dot net and I will be glad to send it to you via email.
Goofy Girl is working on a button for us as well!
Now that you're all inspired to scrapbook, let me point out a really beautiful Hoppy Spring Easter kit that I found at Cottage Arts! I can't wait to scrap some spring/Easter pictures with that!
Leave me a comment here to let me know that you are hoping to participate!
Happy Scrappin'!

Credit for the sample pages here go to (in order):
My mother-in-law, Myrtice Forsythe created the first two with the old-tyme flair
My sister-in-law, Vonda Bearden created the page with my daughter when she was about 4
My husband's aunt, Julia Cook made the page with the filmstrip of her grandson
and last is my page created a year ago for my daughter's 15th birthday - I used her wrapping paper for the background! You can click on any of them to enlarge them and look at them a little better.

If I could speak in any
    language in heaven or
    on earth but didn't love
    others, I would only be
    making meaningless noise
like a loud gong or a
    clanging cymbal. If I
    had the gift of prophecy,
and if I knew all the
    mysteries of the future
    and knew everything
    about everything, but
    didn't love others, what
    good would I be? And
if I had the gift of faith
    so that I could speak
    to a mountain and make
    it move, without love
I would be no good to
    anybody. If I gave
    everything I have to
    the poor and even
    sacrificed my body,
    I could boast about it;
but if I didn't love others,
I would be of no value
    whatsoever. Love is
    patient and kind. Love
    is not jealous or boastful
    or proud or rude. Love
    does not demand its
    own way. Love is not
    irritable, and it keeps
    no record of when it
    has been wronged.
    It is never glad about
    injustice but rejoices
    whenever the truth
    wins out. Love never
    gives up, never loses
    faith, is always hopeful,
    and endures through
    every circumstance.

    May You Always
    Experience This
    Kind Of Love,
    Dr. Howdy
