Sandals and Wool Socks

The weather here is so very strange, and after a year and a half of my reporting it, I continue to be dumbfounded. It was in the 3os and 40s a few days ago and today it is in the 70s. It got a bit humid, not too bad. I worked up a sweat while tidying up the house. It was nice to open a couple of windows a little bit and let some of the fresh air in. I even turned on a couple of ceiling fans. One day I'm wearing sandals, and the next wool socks. I am so not used to this - but honestly, I am learning to love it.

  1. That is so true.

We've started recording the early news on the DVR so dh can get up, flip through the news and get to the weather so he can know what to wear.

You can't just go by the season. You could need shorts, or coat on any given day in Jan.

Of course from about may to Sept I wonder why the weather man don't just stay home and put up a recording saying "Terribly hot and humid till further notice."

    :o)

  2. It's flip flops here too. Earlier this week we weren't even above freezing all day. Monday is supposed to be 70. I'm back to wearing tee shirts in the apartment.

  3. Just stopping by to say Hi! I've been reading your blog, but having trouble finding time to write anything at the moment. Thanks for stopping by recently and commenting. I did read, just didn't get back over to say thanks! Life should settle down when Superfudge leaves next week - that is after I stop drowing in tears!!

  4. I have news for you. It's been the same here in Northern VA. One day it's in the 30's, and then the next day in the high 50's, and all kinds of weird fluctuations in between. It's hard to know what to wear. I think the weather has just gone crazy in general, and these fluctuations are happening allover the place.
