Teaching Me About Romance

This evening, all three kids are off sleeping over with friends. Good for them. When I got home, Travis and I decided to watch a movie. At one point, the lead female character is sitting slightly behind the male lead, and she reaches out to touch the back of his neck but stops short. My husband says, "Don't do it. Don't you dare do it." (He always talks to the TV - we just ignore him - or at least we try.)
I asked him, "Why not?"
He lurches into this long dissertation about if the woman touches him, then he'll know she loves him. He gets up to go to the kitchen to get a glass of water ranting, "I always have to teach you about romance!"
I nearly bust a gut laughing!

  2. I have a confession. I love romantic movies (huge Jane Austen fan) but my husband is the romantic one of our relationship. I'm the practical one. He is way more in tune with the emotional side of people than I am. He has taught me a lot about romance...He such an awesome guy!!!

  6. Every so often Stacy will amaze me with his intuitive perception of the relationship between men and women. And often I think he is clueless. Go figure.
