My New Tattoo

Last night I found myself in a tattoo parlor with my extended family. My dad asked if I had ever thought about getting one - and I had. He said to pick one out! There were tons of things to choose from but nothing that was really "me", so the lady and I went to a computer and picked out something that I really liked, she made a stencil and 15 minutes later I had this beauty. It was so fun. My dad paid for it - and it was kind of a bonding experience with my family who are tattoo lovers. I am pretty happy with it - it is simple and stylish. I was kind of proud of myself. I woke up this morning thinking, "Did I really get a tattoo last night??" Sure enough - I did. I don't regret it at all.

  1. I don't have any tattoos of my own, but I've always like the small ones I've seen on ankles. Have fun with it!!

  2. It's cute. How badly did it hurt?

  3. I got a tattoo when I turned 21. big rose on my left shoulder blade. I like yours. I've always wanted to get another. My DH doesn't like them, so I never did it. But you have inspired me, so I may have to give it another thought : )

  4. it's very cute - i'm excited for ya! i love tattoos - no matter how simple the pattern, they always bear a significant meaning and serve as gentle reminders of the lessons and experiences we've endured.
    ...would you get another one?

  5. I would get another one.
It hurt less than having a baby -
More than having your eyebrows waxed.
The lady tattoo artist said it would feel like a hot cat scratch - and it did but it is continuous.
I would definitely get another one - but not a big one. I like them simple - and this one will always make me think of my family.

  6. OK - I think your ankle looks very pretty with the tattoo, but just so you know- if you ever see me getting a tattoo you will know I have really flipped. But that's just me. Glad you are having a good time. Love, Mel

  7. That's what a tattoo should be about....memories. So, is there something symbolic about the, uh, symbol? ha.
