In the next couple of weeks, I am going to announce the 2008 Quirky Quote Contest. Get ready to share your favorite quotes, words of wisdom, poems, or whatever creative words strike your fancy. I am especially excited that I made my own button for this contest, and am working on a banner for those of you so inclined to put one on your blog.I have always loved quotes, and keep a little notebook of them written down. A few years ago, I came up with a deep thought of my own that said, "Be yourself, I'm already taken" and low and behold, the other day I read an almost exact quote from Oscar Wilde that says "Be yourself; everyone else is already taken." Who knew that me and Oscar Wilde were kindred spirits!
Anyway, get your quotes ready, and look for the big announcement when I start taking submissions.
I am trying to come up with a great prize - I was thinking a Starbucks or Amazon gift card. Any ideas?

Did you see last night's 2 hour re-cap of Season 3? (We have it on DVD and just recently watched the entire season to be ready for Season 4.) The only thing different was that it gave a few clues and comments in little caption boxes on the bottom of the screen.
I am anticipating vegging in fornt of the TV from 7-9 tonight! I mioght even take the phone off the hook!

ReplyDeleteSorry that you'll be missing LOST. The girls and I are having our own little private pizza party. We won't be home when it starts (praise team practice) but thankfully we have a DVR! I think you can watch it online the next day abc.com or something like that.
